Our community of Black Grammy-winning musician entrepreneurs, technologists, and their kids came together to showcase incredible talent and Black-built, cutting-edge AI tech that is shaping the future of our industry and our world. This moment, which brought literal tears to my eyes, encapsulates exactly what building a supportive ecosystem is all about! It’s a vivid reminder that our collective strength lies in our commitment to support and uplift each other.
As “Giving Tuesday” approaches, I encourage you to join us in this journey by supporting HiiiWAV. Your contributions are not just donations; they are investments in a future where technology is inclusive, representative, and empowering for all. Contribute annually to HiiiWAV programs and artists support.

It’s time to put the spotlight on our AFRO AI Demo Day Grant Awardees, who absolutely owned the stage!! At HiiiWAV, we’re beyond hyped to be part of these incredible journeys, watching our fam break barriers, build bridges, and light up the path for the next wave of Black talent in tech and AI.
Major props to the GOOROO crew, for scooping up HiiiWAV’s AFRO AI Apex Award for $10K! Their AI-assisted music engineering is next-level, shaking up the whole digital audio workstation game. GOOROO is all about pivotal growth and innovation. We’re honored to be a part of their story, ’cause they’re redefining music production and how we think about AI in the mix.
Big ups to Kev Choice of Choice Scores, snagging the HiiiWAV AFRO AI Rhythm Revolution Award. Kev’s project turning hip hop tracks to full orchestrations, all powered by AI, is nothing short of revolutionary. He’s seamlessly weaving in the legacy of Black composers, bridging eras, and lighting up the Oakland scene. His work is a blend of art, activism, and straight musical genius, setting the stage for the future of orchestration.
RyanNicole with Worth.AI, grabbed the HiiiWAV AFRO AI Spark Award. She brought that heat, overcame the AI jitters, and delivered a solid gold startup pitch. It’s all about getting that price right for artists and venues, making sure everybody’s getting their worth. It’s a whole new artist pricing model, with a vision that’s set to explode beyond just booking gigs.

In the heart of HiiiWAV, there’s profound gratitude for Rani Langer-Croager and her brainchild, Uptima Entrepreneur Cooperative. Since 2019, Rani has been a guiding force for Bosko, offering weekly mentorship sessions. Her advice and insights, shared every Thursday, have been instrumental in securing over half a million dollars in funding, branding support, and forging solid relationships with powerhouses like Runway, Kataly Foundation, and BBMG. Her hands-on approach has opened doors to an extensive network of entrepreneurs and like-minded individuals, significantly elevating both HiiiWAV and ElectroSpit.
Rani’s role in our story goes beyond her impressive keynote at the AFRO AI Demo Day. It’s her mentorship – a cornerstone of our ethos at HiiiWAV – that’s been nothing short of transformative. It’s a key part of our narrative at HiiiWAV, showcasing the profound impact that guidance, knowledge sharing, and support can have on an organization’s trajectory.
Overall her leadership in establishing Uptima has provided over 1000 entrepreneurs with invaluable, culturally relevant education and advice, fostering thriving businesses and community service. Rani’s journey, including her strategic role in raising over $30 million at Altius Education, is a testament to her commitment to empowering diverse entrepreneurs and reshaping the economic landscape
